About the Role:

Join CBRE and support a globally recognized manufacturing and innovation leader with a large international footprint across 88 production sites worldwide. This Engineering Operations Senior Manager role will serve as a strategic facilities and asset management partner, leading engineering programs across approximately 48 U.S. manufacturing facilities while collaborating with EMEA stakeholders supporting an additional 15-20 sites.

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates located in the Southeast region, including Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Jacksonville, FL; or Raleigh, NC. The role requires regular interaction with colleagues across EMEA time zones and includes approximately 10-20% travel to manufacturing plants for site audits and operational assessments.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead engineering operations and asset management initiatives across a portfolio of U.S. manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop and maintain long-term capital plans, leveraging asset condition, risk, and lifecycle analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Audit preventive maintenance (PM) programs and evaluate maintenance quality to ensure compliance with client standards and operational objectives.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems, including SI-7, to review documentation, validate asset data, and support reporting requirements.
  • Partner with facility teams, vendors, and engineering stakeholders to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management for critical building systems, including chillers, cooling towers, fire pumps, and other mechanical infrastructure.
  • Conduct site assessments and travel to manufacturing locations to verify asset condition, maintenance effectiveness, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and EMEA teams to standardize engineering practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and support strategic facility planning.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Experience managing engineering, facilities, maintenance, or technical operations within manufacturing, industrial, or large-scale facility environments.
  • Strong understanding of critical mechanical systems, including chillers, cooling towers, fire protection systems, pumps, and related infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, capital planning, reliability programs, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience conducting operational, maintenance, or compliance audits across multiple sites.
  • Ability to analyze equipment data, maintain accurate documentation, and support reporting and asset governance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across geographically dispersed teams and multiple time zones.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
