Job Summary and Responsibilities

Embark on a unique and rewarding journey with us as we seek an RN who is passionate about the care of our patients for our West Valley Float Pool. As a vital member of our Float Pool team, which floats between St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center,  St. Joseph Westgate & Arizona General Laveen, your clinical expertise will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care across multiple units. You’ll build trust in these interactions by presenting a positive attitude and by being reliable. Your success in this role comes from your knowledge to provide care to various disease processes in a variety of situations ranging from minor to critical. Rest assured, we have a robust support system in place, including team meetings, and a culture of open communication. 

  • Collaborate with various other healthcare professionals, such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging.
  • Quickly report and address any changes in condition.
  • Patiently and thoroughly explain test results and procedures to patients and family members.
  • Educate patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, care maintenance, and prevention.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Two (2) years of recent nursing experience in ICU
  • Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS)
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS)
