JOB SUMMARY

The FLEX Manager, Business Process Validation (BPV) supports enterprise technology initiatives by coordinating BPV planning, execution, measurement, and governance. This role helps ensure testing is well-planned, effectively managed, and aligned to high-quality releases, operational readiness, and business outcomes.

The FLEX Manager, Business Process Validation executes day-to-day BPV operations, including Agile ceremonies, testing readiness planning, defect management, metrics reporting, governance support, and execution coordination. The role partners with BPV leadership, product, technology, quality engineering, business operations, and release teams to drive transparency, accountability, and alignment across the testing lifecycle.

This position strengthens BPV execution by ensuring teams are ready to test, defects are actively managed, metrics are actionable, and stakeholders have clear visibility into progress, risks, and release readiness.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Hospitality Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience, including 6+ years of relevant work experience in BPV, software testing, QA, project coordination, or technology delivery
  • 4+ years of experience in BPV, software testing, QA, testing coordination, project management, or enterprise technology delivery.
  • Experience supporting the software testing lifecycle, including scenario design, scripting, execution, validation, and closure.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies within Scrum, SAFe, or similar delivery frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating testing readiness, defect triage, metrics reporting, and release readiness across multiple initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional business, product, engineering, QA, operations, and release teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations and integrated system testing activities.

Preferred
  • Background in hospitality industry or hotel operations.
  • Familiarity with BPV methodologies, including scenario creation, process validation, variation management, and persona-based testing.
  • Ability to apply automation best practices to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, and quality outcomes.
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Oracle, SAP, PMS, POS, CRM, loyalty, finance, procurement, or hospitality operations systems.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Agilist, or related Agile certification.
  • Exposure to test automation initiatives, quality engineering transformations, or AI-assisted testing capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed onshore and offshore delivery teams.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, DevOps, defect management, and release readiness practices.
  • Skilled in facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving execution accountability across multiple stakeholders.
  • Skilled in tracking testing metrics, quality indicators, execution progress, risks, dependencies, and release readiness.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret testing data, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Organize work effectively across competing priorities, timelines, stakeholders, and delivery dependencies.
  • Communicate clearly through written updates, verbal briefings, presentations, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Solve problems proactively in fast-paced, cross-functional delivery environments.

Key Tools & Technologies:
  • Leverage Jira, Jira dashboards, workflow management, and related defect tracking tools to manage testing activity and quality visibility.
  • Develop reporting and insights using Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and other data visualization tools.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Agile Delivery & BPV Coordination
  • Facilitate BPV Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, defect triage, and execution reviews.
  • Coordinate testing activities across business, product, engineering, quality engineering, and operational stakeholders to support delivery commitments.
  • Manage testing backlogs and priorities to ensure readiness activities and execution milestones remain on track.
  • Track dependencies, action items, risks, and blockers, and drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support PI Planning, release planning, and execution readiness activities across multiple initiatives.


Testing Readiness Management
  • Lead readiness activities to ensure teams have the information, access, environments, data, and resources needed for successful test execution.
  • Coordinate scenario reviews, script validation, persona provisioning, environment readiness, business engagement, and test scheduling activities.
  • Identify and escalate readiness gaps, dependencies, and risks that may impact execution timelines.
  • Confirm entry criteria are met before execution begins and support exit readiness assessments before release decisions.
  • Maintain readiness status and governance updates for stakeholders and leadership.


Metrics, Reporting & Governance
  • Develop and maintain BPV testing metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions.
  • Track execution progress, test coverage, defect status, readiness indicators, blocker resolution, and release health.
  • Prepare operational and executive status reporting that highlights quality, risks, dependencies, and testing performance.
  • Support governance reviews with actionable insights, trends, and recommendations.


Defect Management & Quality Oversight
  • Manage day-to-day defect activities across BPV initiatives, including identification, documentation, assignment, retesting, validation, and closure.
  • Standardize and reinforce defect documentation practices across squads and partner teams.
  • Facilitate defect triage meetings and partner with product, engineering, QA, and business teams to prioritize resolution efforts.
  • Analyze defect trends, recurring issues, root causes, and business impacts to improve overall quality outcomes.
  • Maintain defect data integrity in Jira and related tracking systems, with support for defect logging during test execution as needed.


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product owners, engineering, quality engineering, business stakeholders, release management, and technology leadership.
  • Communicate testing readiness, risks, defects, dependencies, and execution progress to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build strong working relationships that promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Support issue resolution efforts and facilitate collaboration across distributed onshore and offshore teams.


Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve BPV processes, governance routines, reporting, and execution practices.
  • Promote Agile, Lean, and quality-focused delivery practices across testing teams.
  • Standardize metrics, reporting, readiness assessments, and defect management processes where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the maturity of BPV operating models, tools, and methodologies to improve delivery efficiency and release confidence.
