Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive fleet utilization and process improvements
  • Improve fleet asset use (tractors and trailers) by analyzing and compiling reports and formulating plans to be adopted and executed by plants and transportation teams
  • Oversee trailer licensing, registrations, annual inspections, etc.
  • Analyze industry and business trends to identify standards and best practices to implement at Greif
  • Drive High Dwell Time inventory recovery and help improve plant asset management
  • Develop and lead implementation of metrics to deliver continuous improvement in service, usage and spend
  • Direct and manage 3rd party vendors related to asset tracking, driver and equipment files and equipment compliance up to and including invoice management: JJ Keller, OmniTracs, Spireon, SkyBitz, etc.
  • Direct vendor payment processes with current vendors and Fleet Assets Administrator by utilizing Coupa and direct pay options on assets and related team services
  • Create and submit COUPA invoices, contracts and POs.
  • Define future best practices for logistics systems and vendor payment processes.
  • Work closely with business planning teams to identify business needs, assist in developing plans to delivery that will solve the business needs.
  • Oversee the data repositories of fleet assets that includes: database, plates on hand, titles on hand, annual inspections, registrations, etc. Provide accurate annual repositories to Risk Management team for insurance renewals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience
  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent) and 5 or more years of relevant experience.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Possesses knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations including transportation management technology, network optimization software and overall transportation industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrates timely decision making and ability to prioritize projects and timelines.
  • Possesses excellent customer service and process management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including understanding of ERP systems, advanced knowledge of Transportation Management Systems, supply chain modeling systems and Power BI.
  • Demonstrates active listening and the ability to think creatively.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate within all levels of the organization

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $71,000.00 - $121,000.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between72,000.00 to90,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
