Responsibilities

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a full-time 1st shiftFleet Shop Managerto oversee our fleet shop operations with hands on trailer/tractor experience located in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate should have experience in overseeing union employees but not required.

Shift:Full-Timel Monday-Friday-Day Shift -Must be flexible to support all shiftsPay: $96,000-$103,000 annually (Based on experience and qualifications) + Potential annual Bonus of 10%

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the in-house team of Technicians to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance while controlling costs, minimizing vehicle downtime, maintaining accurate records, and driving initiatives to enhance productivity and service levels.

  • Oversee fleet maintenance operations, including repair quality, parts inventory control, budgeting, transactional data quality, and compliance with company, state, and federal standards, including DOT and OSHA regulations

  • Utilize AssetWorks to manage and track fleet assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping, maintenance scheduling, and data analysis to improve asset performance and lifespan

  • Utilize and report on key performance metrics (KPI99s) through PowerBI dashboards, identify and provide data-driven insights to monitor facility performance and trends, and make informed decisions to optimize fleet operations and reduce expenses

  • Manage the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations by monitoring expenses, analyzing financial metrics, and implementing strategies to enhance spending efficiency and reduce overall costs

  • Leverage extensive maintenance experience to oversee and guide all repair and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across the fleet

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor99s Degree with 5 plus years of related experience and 2 plus years of management experience or High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or Technical School Certification with 8 plus years of specific experience and 3 plus years of management experience

  • Valid driver99s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
