Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Fleet Manager leads the company's enterprise fleet strategy, operations, and compliance across multiple business units. With a fleet ranging between 65 to 120 units across Western Canada, this role ensures fleet assets are available, safe, and cost-effective by balancing operational demand with disciplined asset management and consistent fleet standards.
Position DescriptionWhat you do:- Ensuring Fleet assets are available, reliable, and fit for purpose across Business Units
- Monitoring fleet utilization and allocating fleet assets based on enterprise priorities, utilization thresholds, and operational demand
- Coordinating short-term rental fleet to support peak demand and surge requirements,
- Liaising with Division GMs and Project Managers to ensure fleet requirements, constraints, and priorities are understood
- Driving optimization of owned vs. rented fleet through data-driven analysis
- Participating and driving in vendor rate reviews, rental agreements, and maintenance service evaluations
- Monitoring and reporting fleet operating costs, including maintenance, rentals, downtime, and damage, to establish cost-management strategies
- Ensuring fleet tracking and management systems are current, accurate, and effectively used, acting as the primary point of accountability for fleet data accuracy.
- Ensuring fleet maintenance programs are executed consistently, and maintenance records are complete, accurate, and accessible
- Monitoring corrective actions resulting from inspections, investigations, and deficiencies; report trends and non-conformance
- Supporting and enforcing driver accountability programs related to inspections, damage, incidents, and violations
- Establishing the selection, onboarding, and training process for drivers related to fleet policies and expectations

Position RequirementsWhat you bring:- 5-10 years of experience with Fleet and equipment management in industrial or field-based environments
- Proven history of making operational decisions, including fleet composition and unit allocation
- Experience in monitoring and managing fleet costs, utilization metrics, and vendor spend
- Knowledge of provincial Health and Safety legislation, TDG, and Transport Canada regulations
- H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid, and CPR certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Office 365
- Successfully complete drug and alcohol screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
