SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Fire Control Technician - Test Engineer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP has an immediate full-time opening for a recentlyseparated Navy Fire Control Technicians who will provide support as a TestEngineer in Newport, RI. In this position, the candidate will provide system,integration, and operational testing support for SWFTS (3rd Party Targeting,CIS, BYG-1, SONAR, Imaging, Tomahawk, and other Weapon/Combat Systems) programsfor all U.S. submarine classes. The work location is Newport, Rhode Islandsupporting laboratories at NUWC Newport but may include travel to support testevents. These events are conducted in developer facilities, onboard submarinesboth dockside and underway, and at Navy shipyard and shore sites.

Please note that this is not a Remote Position and that anActive Secret Security Clearance or higher is required on the date of hire.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing lab test support evaluating system capabilities meet or exceed stated requirements.
  • Good verbal communication skills are required for attending meetings to provide brief discussions/presentations on test results and findings.
  • Writing clear and concise test reports detailing successful testing completed, issues with performing tests, and problems found.

  • Identifying, investigating and analyzing software and hardware failures to determine root-causes.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelorof Science (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline. In lieu of a bachelor's degree,qualified candidates that have 8 years of direct combat systems and/or militaryexperience with US Navy Submarine Combat Systems including completion of Naval Advanced"C" School in the technical field of experience can be accepted.

Experience: 3 yearsof related experience (with the BS degree), specifically working with submarinecombat systems. Direct experience with combat system cybersecurity and currentcyber workforce certification a plus.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Location: Middletown, RI

Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)

Clearance: Secret
