Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Shipyard EngineeringBusiness Area is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Electrical Engineer to designand develop electronics in a developmental launcher system. This position callsfor an experienced, versatile engineer able to contribute to a variety ofdifferent projects while working with other engineers, technicians, andlogisticians. The successful candidate will have some familiarity with systemsdevelopment ranging from conceptualization through delivery with an emphasis onrequirements development, technical customer interface, design, fabricationsupervision, and testing. The ability to research and select off-the-shelfproducts to be combined with custom hardware and software to provide a solutionto program needs will be critical. The capacity to envision how different partsand assemblies will come together into a final system or subsystem will beuseful. This position will require strong technical writing skills to supportproject bids and proposals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience: Seven (7) years of full-time professional experience workingas an Electrical/Electronic Engineer.

Required:

  • Component level circuit design including power supplies, microcontrollers, analog filters, cabling, and video.
  • Strong technical written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong background in ORCAD Schematic Capture and ORCAD PCB design necessary.
  • Understanding of basic programing concepts to help interface with software engineers.
  • Understanding of basic Windows and Linux operating system concepts.
  • Analyze circuit board specifications, define and validate hardware architecture and component features, develop drawings and schematics, develop layouts, and test and validate.
  • Perform embedded system design and digital/analog circuit design (schematic & layout).
  • Design and develop complex FPGA designs using Verilog, VHDL or SystemVerilog.

Desired:

  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other mechanical CAD software experience would also be useful (employed in developing end-to-end system engineering drawings and interconnect diagrams in CAD software.
  • Transition to production.
  • Team oriented.
  • Self-driven to take on responsibility and accountability for workmanship and product deadlines.
  • Experience with undersea vehicles and undersea vehicle interface design is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing and packing electrical hardwarefor marine environments is a plus.
