Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Operations- Oversee daily Accounts Payable activities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are completed on schedule.
- Manage, coach, and develop AP staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships by resolving inquiries, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring accounts are reconciled and up to date.
- Review and complete monthly account reconciliations and ensure compliance with applicable tax reporting requirements, including 1099 filings.
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Provide hands-on assistance with invoice processing and other AP tasks during peak periods or as needed to meet deadlines.
Financial Reporting & Analysis- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes, collaborating with leadership to develop financial plans and performance targets.
- Analyze financial results and variances, providing insights into trends and business performance.
- Act as a key point of contact for financial inquiries, delivering timely and data-driven responses.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and templates to improve efficiency and data visibility.
- Drive consistency and standardization across financial reports and processes.
Qualifications & Skills- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition concepts, including Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting, preferably in project-based or manufacturing environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, complex formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar platforms preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
