Job Summary:

For our CFO Renewables team, we are seeking aFinancial Reporting and AccountingSr that will contribute to the delivery of quality accountingand reportingsupport to management.This position will report to the Accounting Manager for Renewables within the department of the CFORenewablesNorth America.

The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable 67reviewproper codingand processing of invoices by external service provider, ensuretimelyapproval, preparation of urgent payment proposals, manage payment inquiries,monitorapproval status, overduepayments

  • Perform and oversee monthly and annual closing process in collaboration with the external service provider, including posting of journal entries, variance and trending analysis, account reconciliations and IFRS reporting to Repsol parentcompany

  • Prepare external partnership reporting including US GAAP/IFRSfinancial statements and other reporting as requested by thepartner

  • Preparation of statutory financial statementsunder IFRS

  • Assistwith external and internalaudits

  • Perform account analysis and research with ad-hoc projects asrequired

  • Assistwith the research and documentation of GAAP and IFRS technical accountingissues

  • Liaise with Asset Management and Planning & Performance Management to ensure proper internal reporting andforecasting

  • Assistwith design,implementationand testing of internalcontrols

  • Accurately manage intercompany transactions

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work for any US employer,without the need for work visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 4+ years' experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting

  • CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus

  • Big 4 experience is a plus

  • IFRS & GAAP experienceisa plus.

  • Expertisein use of Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP systems highly preferred

  • Ability to learn new tasksquickly

  • Strong analytical andproblem solvingskills

  • Deadline driven and ability toplan aheadto ensure smooth closeprocesses

  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills

  • Prior work experience in the renewables sector is a plus
