Job Description:Financial Planning & Analysis - Prepare and submit forecasts and budgets for Warranty, Goodwill, and Service Contracts (WGSC) and Technical Campaigns.
- Prepare the biannual WGSC study and annual Technical Campaign true-up using AWS QuickSight and other analytical tools, and post the resulting journal entries in SAP.
- Support management with PwC reviews of the WGSC study and Technical Campaign true-up.
- Perform profitability analysis for service contract programs, including MP, MPU, and CPO, and support business case reviews.
- Provide financial and analytical support for New Warranty System (NWS), CPO, Oil-Only Datamart, Battery State of Health (BSOH), and CDH projects, including business case reviews.
- Perform multi-component contract analysis from an EFP (Embedded Financial Product) perspective and ensure compliant accounting setup.
- Support management with financial reviews, ad hoc analysis, and other related FP&A activities.

Qualifications: - Certified Public Accountant or master's degree accounting/taxation/financial planning/business administration
- 10+ years of experience as a manager, 7+ years of automobile industry specific experience as a manager
- Bachelor's degree, Major in Accounting
- 10+ years of experience in accounting/tax/controlling/finance
- 10+ years' experience in finance systems SAP including SAP 4HANA and 5+ finance systems implementation
- 10+ years of collaboration a project of diverse and distributed teams, Hands-on experience implementing a new accounting standard, such as IFRS or US GAAP
- 10+ years of proven cross-functional collaboration in accounting/tax/controlling/business areas

Responsibilities:Role requires a versatile set of skills and industry specific extensive experience. Incumbent must bring a senior accounting background, like Senior Corporate accounting not operational accounting. The candidate needs to be able analyze US GAAP/ IFRS standard treatment for very complex topics and service contracts.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements - Strong knowledge of U.S. Lemon Law and its accounting implications, particularly for determining the appropriate accounting treatment for vehicle buybacks.
- Perform complex financial analysis and business case evaluations using BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and Tableau.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and outlook processes for Warranty, Goodwill, and Service Contracts (WGSC).
- Hands-on knowledge of relevant systems and projects, including:
- New Warranty System (NWS)
- Datamart
- Qlik CPO
- Oil-Only Automation
- Experience with financial analysis related to:
- Battery State of Health (BSOH)
- Maintenance Upgrade Programs

- Independently manage budgets, forecasts, outlooks, provisions, and liabilities related to Warranty, Goodwill, and Service Contracts.
- Perform monthly actual-versus-plan variance analysis and prepare financial reporting for senior management.
- Conduct quarterly studies of Warranty, Goodwill, and Service Contract provisions and liabilities to ensure appropriate reserve levels.
- Develop and implement tools and process improvements to automate and enhance accounting processes.
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet and P&L results, against budget, forecast, and prior-year actuals by segment and product line.
- Prepare management reporting and provide analysis of consolidated results versus budget and forecast, in close collaboration with Controlling.
- Lead monthly Financial Statement Meetings, explain financial variances and business developments, and present findings to the Heads of Accounting and Controlling.
- Independently plan LRP, Budget, Forecast, and Outlook for provisions related to:
- Warranty and Goodwill (>$2 billion)
- Deferred revenue for Roadside Assistance, Scheduled Maintenance, Maintenance Plan Upgrades, and CPO Protection (>$1.5 billion)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple business departments and management levels to monitor program profitability and losses for service contracts at the vendor-code and program levels.
- Provide timely analysis, reporting, and recommendations regarding program structure, pricing, efficiencies, revenue-enhancement opportunities, and cost savings.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify current trends and determine appropriate cost-per-unit assumptions for Warranty and Goodwill provisions.
- Organize and facilitate quarterly management briefings related to Warranty, Goodwill, Maintenance Plans, and Recalls, coordinating preparation with various process partners.
- Manage quarterly studies of Warranty & Goodwill provisions, Scheduled Maintenance, Maintenance Upgrades, and CPO Protection to ensure the adequacy of provisions and reserves.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warranty provisions and deferred revenue, ensuring effective system utilization and data accuracy.
- Drive initiatives to automate financial processes and support the development of new systems and enhancements to existing systems in collaboration with IT and Financial Analysis/Warranty teams.
- Independently handle ad hoc financial analyses, presentations, estimates, and management requests for senior leadership.
- Research and evaluate IFRS accounting treatments for balance sheet and P&L items.
- Verify that internal accounting controls related to financial and accounting processes are properly implemented and effective.
- Work closely with PwC and other external auditors, providing explanations, supporting documentation, and analysis for annual audits and mid-year reviews.
