What You Will Do:Our financial management consultants help federal clients optimize the operations of their finance organization, including budget execution, accounting reconciliations (e.g., Fund Balance with Treasury), intra-governmental payments and collections, government-wide treasury account symbol reporting, internal audits, and helping to meet the ever-changing requirements of federal financial reporting. This role will be part of a high-performing team helping a DOJ entity identify, design, and implement improved processes that transform their finance function and provide lasting change by providing internal audit, financial analysis, and program operations support.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in government accounting and:
- Experience performing examinations and appraisal of financial records, court documents, financial and management reports, management controls, policies, and practices affecting the operating results of an activity, experience reviewing records to assure compliance with rules and regulations
- Experience testing/evaluating management practices and procedures with regards to sound internal controls and recommending process improvements
- Experience reviewing records to assure compliance with rules and regulations
What You Will Need:- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Public Trust security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "PUBLIC TRUST" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree
- ONE (1) or more year of federal accounting-related work experience in government accounting, financial management, or auditing
What Would Be Nice To Have:- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
- 3 years of federal accounting-related work experience in government accounting, financial management, or auditing
- Graduate Degree in finance or business
- CPA, CGFM, PMP or similar professional certification
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards
- Experience with Federal Financial Management systems, specifically, CGI Momentum and business intelligence software (i.e., PowerBI, SQL)
- Federal project management experience
- Active Public Trust - Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)
The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
