Summary:The Financial Controller - Sapphire Americas oversees the financial function for the business. This position manages the monthly close process, reviewing revenue & cost variances, coordinating the budget process, maintaining forecasts, and monitoring capital spending. The position oversees the communication of financial data to senior management to help drive critical business decisions. The position also analyzes and evaluates business development opportunities. The Financial Controller - Sapphire Americas coordinates the efforts of the entire accounting and financial reporting department.
What you'll be contributing: - Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Coordinates and prepares monthly business review presentations to senior management.
- Maintains monthly forecasts for the business and submits them to CRH Group Finance monthly.
- Monitors revenue and cost variances and proactively communicates them to senior management.
- Monitors capital spending for the business to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Communicates capital spending requirements to senior management.
- Works closely with internal and external auditors to plan and coordinate audit procedures.
- Ensures that the company's accounting and financial records are in compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Assists internal and external auditors with schedules and answers any associated questions.
- Works closely with the accounting and administrative team members involved with the business
- Assists the business in hiring, training, and setting standards for the accounting, finance, and administrative personnel working in the business with hiring, training, and setting standards for accounting, finance, and administrative personnel.
- Coordinates periodic calls and meetings with the group.
- Coordinates regular revenue and cost reviews to provide information and analysis to Senior Leadership.
- Provides monthly operating reports to appropriate teams and groups. Work closely with those groups to explain variances and identify and monitor key business metrics.
- Serves as Sapphire Americas SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) leader. Work with appropriate team members to set standards for SOX across the business and ensure that SOX controls are properly performed and documented.
- Monitors regional working capital and ensures company assets are properly protected and used efficiently.
- Deals regularly with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and that adequate controls are in place.
- Acts as a custodian of the organization's assets.

To succeed in this position, you will need:- Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Minimum 4 Year Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience iin finance/accounting experience in public accounting or private industry related positions.
- Ability to perform, organize, and prioritize work independently
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly
- Ability to lead/manage others
- Knowledge of accounting practices as set forth by GAAP
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products
- Ability to utilize a personal computer to perform duties
- Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
- Up to 25% domestic travel
Compensation:- Compensation: $102,700.00 - $125,600.00 USD
- Eligible for yearly bonus
