The Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, process transformation, and finance function optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of outsourced accounting environments, private equity operating models, technology-enabled finance processes, and the unique challenges faced by emerging and growth-stage organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead finance and accounting outsourcing engagements, including oversight of offshore and domestic team members.
  • Assist clients in designing and implementing scalable accounting processes that support growth and operational efficiency.
  • Advise clients on finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, process automation, reporting enhancements, and system optimization.
  • Support private equity portfolio companies through transactions, integrations, carve-outs, acquisitions, and post-close operational improvements.
  • Coordinate with client executives, investors, lenders, auditors, tax advisors, and transaction teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identify accounting, operational, and reporting risks and develop practical recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Mentor and develop staff and senior associates while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Support business development efforts by strengthening client relationships, expanding existing engagements, and identifying new service opportunities.

  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and leading teams.
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights for management and investors.
  • Strong project management, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environments.

Preferred
  • CPA designation.
  • Experience supporting private equity-backed portfolio companies.
  • Experience serving technology, SaaS, software, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences organizations.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, post-acquisition integrations, or carve-out activities.
  • Exposure to revenue recognition, debt arrangements, and other technical accounting matters common among growth-stage companies.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Experience with ERP and accounting platforms including NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or similar solutions.
  • Experience leading system implementation, automation, or finance transformation projects.

Desired Leadership & Client Service Skills
