Full Job Description
Help The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Air Force Base is searching for a Financial Business Manager/Budget Analyst to support SYD 80 (GS-0501-12). Description: Serves as a Financial Management representative for Space Force Portfolio Acquisition Executive (SFPAE) for SFPAE Space Access (SFPAE/SA). This position will establish budget controls, issue and approve funding, analyze program performance, forecast and coordinate planning, allocate civilian resources, implement financial policies, ensure operational controls, and liaise with audit agencies within SA and a SYD80. This position will provide comprehensive analysis to leadership regarding accounting operations, ensuring financial statements accurately reflect resource status and comply with regulations. This position is the primary interface for the acquisition programs at the Rocket Systems Launch Program (RSLP) in Kirtland, AFB. Duties include but not limited to: - Analyze and forecast financial requirements, manage reprogramming actions, and balance a complex financial structure with multiple fund sources and appropriations. - Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring financial statements accurately reflect resource status and comply with regulations. - Develop reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into key financial indicators for leadership decision-making. - Provide Financial execution and fiscal guidance. - Implement and continuously refine financial dashboards and reporting tools to monitor budget execution, resource allocation, performance trends, and ensure compliance with Air Force/Space Force policies and procedures. Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's Degree preferred, experience at Wing/Base with FM office experience especially with Comptroller division is highly-desired. Knowledge of acquisition programs is desired. Ability to distill large amounts of information into relevant strategic-level briefings to leadership. May be required to travel to performance duties via TDYs. DAF or SAF experience and exposure are highly desired. Knowledge of MS Office and ability to produce executive quality deliverables. Knowledge of FM principles and practices. Excellent communicator (oral and written). Conditions of employment - Must be a U.S Citizen. - PCS / Relocation is available. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. - Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. - May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. - May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. - Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework" - Subject to TDY 15 days per year.
