Full Job Description
Role Description

We are hiring a Financial Analyst to build and own critical financial infrastructure as we scale from 200 to 500+ employees. This is a highly visible role at the intersection of payroll, FP&A, and financial operations. You will help build systems and bring controls, documentation, and reliability to processes that have outgrown the current setup. From the outset you will run end-to-end biweekly payroll in Rippling, partner with RevOps and Sales to administer commission plans, manage the company 401(k) relationship, and more. You will partner closely with Finance and HR on forecasting all aspects of personnel costs, ensuring we hit our financial targets. The ideal candidate is detail-obsessed, comfortable being the single point of accountability for time-sensitive workflows, and able to spot the systemic issues that might arise as the company scales.

Responsibilities
  • Build repeatable and scalable processes using best in class systems, leveraging automation and AI workflows.
  • Partner with the Controller and FP&A team to develop scalable reporting infrastructure as headcount grows, including automated cost dashboards and variance commentary.
  • Build and maintain cost forecasting models for people-related expenses - compensation, benefits, payroll taxes - to support quarterly and annual planning cycles. Support ad hoc financial analysis requests from Finance and department heads, including headcount cost modeling, budget variance analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Own end-to-end biweekly payroll processing in Rippling, including comp changes, one-time payments, deductions, and multi-jurisdiction tax withholdings.
  • Partner with the Controller and outsourced accounting team to ensure payroll costs are accurately accrued in the correct period, including mid-period cutoffs, timing adjustments, and reconciliation to the GL.
  • Run the monthly commission calculation cycle and quarterly bonus cycle, building an automated process to give employees visibility into performance and earnings.
  • Own the 401(k) relationship, including deduction accuracy, integration with Rippling, audit readiness, and management of the annual 401(k) plan audit and Form 5500 filing.
  • Manage the relationship with the India outsourced payroll processor, including monthly output review, year-end filings, and annual compliance calendar coordination.
  • Serve as the escalation point for employee payroll and benefits questions routed from HR, and produce a monthly payroll and benefits cost summary for Finance.
  • Assist with financial due diligence and investor-facing materials during fundraising processes, particularly around headcount and compensation data.
