We are looking for a talented Financial Analyst - Senior to join our team specializing in Finance for our Cummins location in Troy, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Financial Analysis Expertise: Deliver complex financial analyses and reports that inform management decisions and strategic direction.
  • Insightful Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and special studies that provide actionable insights for leadership.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with organizational units to develop annual budgets, expense forecasts, staffing plans, and statistical reporting.
  • Data Consolidation: Consolidate financial data to present a clear picture of performance, variances, and cost drivers.
  • Performance Evaluation: Provide variance explanations and cost analysis to highlight opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • Forecasting Accuracy: Strengthen organizational planning by producing reliable financial forecasts that support resource allocation.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.

Experience:
Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.

Qualifications

  • Lead Financial Planning & Reporting - Manage monthly close, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting activities for the Global Engineering and Product Strategy functions, providing accurate and timely financial insights.
  • Support Strategic Decision-Making - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support leadership discussions, business decisions, and the financial impact assessment of global engineering strategies.
  • Partner with Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems Engineering Leadership - Serve as a trusted finance partner to the Engineering CMLT leader and leadership team, helping align financial performance with strategic objectives.
  • Expand Product Finance Support - Contribute to product line profitability analysis and provide financial support for product strategy initiatives, investment decisions, and long-term growth opportunities.
