Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $73,920 - $97,885. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Finance & Accounting? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Financefunction. The Financial Analyst prepares and analyzes financial reports, develops and monitors budgets, and provides insights to support strategic decision-making. This role collaborates with value stream leaders to enhance financial performance, ensures compliance with financial regulations, and drives process improvements to optimize resource allocation and profitability. Additionally, the Financial Analyst identifies and mitigates business risks to support the company's operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare timely month-end and quarterly reports, analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis, and present findings to management.
  • Assist management with identifying and evaluating business drivers, KPIs, and trends to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insights for improvement, driving planning accuracy, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals for a production Value Stream.
  • Partner with value stream leader to provide insights on financial performance.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers, providing results to management.
  • Support working capital and free cash flow improvement with ad-hoc plans on inventory reduction and managing capital expenditures budget and process.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
  • Assist process improvement and cost-saving initiatives and optimize resource allocation to protect and increase the company's profitability.
  • Report on capital expenditures and Value Stream activities.
  • Identify and mitigate business risks and organization blind spots to curb inefficiencies.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules

What you'll Need To Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Business Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for operational improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information.
  • Critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop solutions in a manufacturing context.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.

Preferred:
  • Oracle ERP Proficiency with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, and other accounting software used by the organization
  • Experience with a mix of financial and cost accounting, FP&A, and business systems analysis experience supporting financial environments and a good understanding of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting: Frequently required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based for [3-4] hours at a time approximately [5] days per work week.
  • Manual Dexterity: Infrequently required to use hand-eye coordination to control both hands and arms for a full range of motion to operate equipment/machinery/power tools/office productivity equipment
  • Ascending/Descending: Infrequently ascending or descending ladders/stairs/scaffolding/ramps/poles
  • Observation/Eyesight: Infrequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors
  • Communication: Frequently required to talk and hear, in person and by phone/conference calls
