About the Role

Hinge is looking for a Financial Analyst to support core business expense processes, monthly close activities, and forecasting/reporting across the organization. This role will work closely with a high-caliber, lean finance team and partner cross-functionally with accounting, engineering, and operational stakeholders to manage vendor contracts, analyze financial performance, and improve budgeting processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to leverage data and AI-driven tools to help scale financial operations.

Responsibilities
Own company-wide business expense processes:
  • Process invoices in our AP software
  • Ensure invoice consistency with forecasts and vendor contracts
  • Partner with internal teams through the invoice and vendor onboarding processes
  • Measure company metrics against terms of various vendor contracts on a monthly basis
  • Determine when contract upgrade, restructuring, or early renewal may be necessary


Assist with monthly accounting close processes:
  • Collaborate with company departments and accounting to determine monthly accruals
  • Analyze accrual vs actual variances by vendor/account
  • Regularly review aged accruals


Assist with capitalized labor month end process:
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with engineering teams to identify capitalizable labor projects and track status through completion
  • Own the monthly submission process to onboard new projects into the company reporting system
  • Manage the capitalized labor forecast
  • Support monthly operating expense forecasting, variance analysis, metrics reporting, and departmental cost budgeting

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or general business management
  • 2-3 years of professional finance or accounting experience
  • Proficient in advanced features of Excel, Google Sheets/Slides
  • Team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail

This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
