Financial Analyst, Canada
Join Royal Canin's Canada Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and insights that help drive business performance. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll support critical accounting activities across payroll, benefits, travel, trade spending, and marketing investments while helping ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
As a trusted finance partner, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support month-end close, analyze financial results, improve processes, and strengthen financial controls. This role offers a unique blend of accounting, reporting, and business partnering, providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining broad exposure to the Royal Canin Canada organization.
What are we looking for?
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
• Experience in CPG, FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
What will be your key responsibilities?
• Support month-end and year-end close activities for payroll, benefits, travel, trade spending, and advertising expenses.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Create cross-charge invoices and maintain supporting financial documentation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support the Financial Controller on key finance initiatives.
