Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 2 years with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or other similar qualification).
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams through strong problem-framing and problem-structuring skills, project management skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets and coding languages, database, automation or business intelligence skills (e.g., SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, Python, Tableau, Looker, etc).
  • Ability to communicate insights and "so what" to a wide range of stakeholders including technical management teams.
  • Desire to structure and solve large, complex, and novel investigative problems.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Americas Sales leadership to drive insights and analysis that support the retail business, directly shaping business strategy for Alphabet's largest and most critical business-generating sector. Because Retail is the cornerstone of Alphabet's commercial portfolio, your guidance will directly influence the company's top-line performance.
  • Leverage technical expertise to provide quantitative analysis on revenue drivers within Retail and the broader digital commerce ecosystem. Your insights will consistently feed into executive-level dashboards and board reviews, providing the critical data needed to guide decision-making under constant leadership radar.
  • Develop and manage sophisticated business reporting and key performance indicator (KPI) frameworks for the retail portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Ads Finance, Operations, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure investigative alignment and maintain absolute data consistency across complex, changing global commerce datasets.
