  • Assist with the annual external audit and prepare schedules as needed
  • Review Above Base activity for accurate revenue and expense coding
  • Facilitate payroll processing by obtaining necessary approvals from managers

Financial Analyst

Key Purpose

The Financial Analyst role will support the accounting & finance team with accounting and operational expertise to assist ISS in achieving its growth, profitability, and quality objectives.

  • Report to the Financial Director and work in close partnership with the larger, ISS Finance Team
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required

Ideal Candidate Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years financial analyst or senior accountant level experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP, and ERP systems
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organization
  • Able to command credibility and be able to influence.
  • PC literate - understanding of how to use technology as a tool


Key Accountabilities
  • Supports Controller and Finance Director with all aspects of month end close and reviews
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepares journal entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts
  • Review P&L data during tight close deadlines to ensure accurate expense and revenue recognition
  • Prepare various financial reports provided to management, review data with operators and answer research questions regarding those reports
  • Assist with annual external audit. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit.
  • Review Above Base activity in detail to ensure accurate revenue and expense coding
  • Assists in obtaining approvals from operating managers regarding payroll processing
  • Protects organization's values by keeping information confidential

  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time
