Position SummaryThe Financial Analyst III is responsible for supporting the financial aspects of both the FM-PRO and Capital Finance Departments while adhering to all UHN policies, regulatory requirements and audit accountabilities to maintain appropriate internal and financial controls.
Duties- Month-end process (post journals, depreciation, settlement jobs)
- Capital project accounting (Maintain Internal Orders and Order Groups)
- Balance Sheet account reconciliations, continuity schedules and account analysis
- Foundation billings for externally funded capital projects
- Update & Maintain SAP Fixed Assets Sub ledger
- Interim and Annual Audit requirements for capital reporting (e.g. UHN FS, HIRF, Provincial Consolidation)
- External Reporting (Statistics Canada)
- Enforce policies and procedures relating to capital spending
Qualifications- Completed or actively working towards obtaining a Canadian CPA designation
- Relevant work experience: minimum 3 years
- Experience in an accounting or auditing environment with exposure to financial modeling
- Experience with efficiency improvements
- Extensive knowledge of Excel
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges
- Computer literacy, required preferably in a Microsoft office environment, with an aptitude for learning new computer applications quickly
- Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial data and information
