What You'll DoWe’re looking for a Financial Analyst III to join our Principal Asset Management business on our Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this role, the primary focus will be analyzing the consolidated financial performance as well as assisting in developing and communicating earnings materials to senior leadership!
- Analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
- Developing management reporting to highlight the status of key performance indicators.
- Communicating financial results to senior leadership and key partners across the Principal enterprise.
- Collaborating with multiple business partners to understand drivers of earnings and asset growth.
- Driving the completion of ad-hoc and recurring analyses to uncover insights of the business.
This team provides an opportunity to learn all the aspects of the global asset management, from public and private market solutions, multi-asset strategies, and retirement capabilities to clients in over 80 markets. This team is responsible for understanding and communicating business performance and impacts of strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance, accounting or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Must have strong sense of curiosity, problem solving, attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excel skills are required
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must have good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to accept and adapt to a changing environment.
- Self-starter, highly motivated and ability to work on their own initiatives
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines through excellent project management skills
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- Experience with AI-enhanced finance tools, data visualization platforms, and analytics solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Tableau AI) is preferred
Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range$73150 - $95750 / year
Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
