Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Financial Analyst III, you will serve as a key contributor to our Financial Operations team at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center, providing high-level financial analysis and actionable insights to support management decision-making. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of complex financial reports, overseeing yearly operating and capital budgets, and identifying process improvement methodologies to optimize data management and workflow analysis.
Every day you will perform in-depth statistical analysis and data modeling to help drive our strategic business goals. Your responsibilities include consolidating and interpreting complex financial information, serving as a vital liaison between internal and external stakeholders, and providing expert training to management teams on financial systems and reporting software. You will leverage your critical thinking skills to research and resolve financial discrepancies while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and possess at least four years of professional experience in the finance or accounting sector, preferably within a healthcare environment. You must demonstrate strong analytical abilities, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can independently manage complex financial workflows and provide clear, accurate guidance to support the financial health of our organization.
- Provides financial analysis and reports.
- Creates and monitors yearly operating and capital budgets
- Provides training on financial reports and software to management team.
- Consolidates and interprets financial information for the Management team.
- Ensures integrity and accuracy of financial analyses development.
- Identifies and implements improved methodologies to accumulate, store, process, and report data.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting or Finance, and
- Four (4) years Accounting or Finance experience
Preferred
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience supporting the annual budgeting process
- Accomplishments in process improvement
- Experience with large data sets
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Google Sheets and Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis).
