Job Summary
Trane Supply operates more than 200 retail locations across North America. As a member of the Supply Finance team, the Financial Analyst will support key business partners across multiple functions. This role is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and project support. The analyst will also assist with period-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of business fundamentals, strong analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize results from multiple data sources.
Responsibilities
• Support month-end close activities including variance analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assist with inventory reporting, analysis, and forecasting for U.S. and Canadian operations
• Prepare reconciliations for Supply inventory and related reserves
• Support inventory costing activities for Supply stores
• Maintain internal controls by periodically reviewing accounting processes and procedures
• Partner with the field organization on inventory transactions, costing, and adjustments
• Partner with SIOP and field teams to support working capital initiatives and inventory management
• Monitor financial performance, analyze operating results, investigate variances, and recommend actions
• Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project support as needed
• Support financial elements of store acquisitions
• Assist with audit and tax reporting requirements
• Contribute to standard work, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration
• Drive efficiencies through analytics and standardization; build and maintain financial tools, models, and systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with strong cross-functional partnerships
• Ability to interpret and communicate financial results clearly, including to non-financial audiences
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and highly organized
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• High level of integrity, curiosity, and initiative
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Oracle or other ERP systems, OneStream, Tableau, or Dataiku is a plus
• Cost accounting experience a plus
• P21 experience a plus
Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
$72,611.66 - $101,394.99
