Job Summary

We are currently looking to hire a Financial Analyst based in our Mt Crawford, Virginia beverage manufacturing plant.

This role will have a focus on raw material accounting, loss & labor analysis, inventory control, fixed asset accounting, spare parts, controllable cost control, utility tracking, and internal controls in a continuous improvement environment. Reporting into the Plant Controller, this role supports the Controller in the month end close process with clear & concise variance analysis, weekly forecast & annual strategic plan.

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

  • Input/learn/report weekly key performance indicators and ensure their accuracy, understand and communicate impact of these measures to the business.
  • Track operations productivity projects, execution, and financial impact.
  • Quickly analyze data, identify variances, and benchmark information against other locations.
  • Perform plant cost accounting functions with emphasis on month end close, material loss and labor variance analysis, spare parts, fixed assets, and report preparation for use by Corporate HQ and local plant management
  • Assists Plant Controller in the preparation, review and analysis of plant level budgets and forecasts.
  • Ability to find gaps in financial controls & analysis and develop effective processes, which close the respective shortfalls.
  • Review and approve monthly reconciliations for submission to corporate consolidation.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in extracting data from SAP downloading in Excel for a clear analytical review
  • Create SOPs and conduct reviews & request changes as necessary
  • Aid Operations to identify, document, and implement solutions for issues within the production process
  • Effectively communicate with several plant departments (e.g., packaging, processing, maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist in the purchase order process for locally procured goods & services
  • Manage and assist with special projects
  • Be a key contributor in the annual strategic business plan & rolling forecast for expenses based on forecasted volume
  • Perform all other assigned tasks/duties


Physical Demands
  • This role could require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.


Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
  • Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is: $87K - $124K. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, internal equity, and market conditions. About You

Education & Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Candidates without a completed bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field, will be considered if they have 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment within a materials, planning, or supply chain type of role and have demonstrated ability to understand and interpret financial budgets and analysis as well as exceptional excel skills. Candidates must also have completed high school diploma/GED.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), required.
  • required ERP Systems experience (SAP preferred),
  • Must have solid interpersonal, analytical and technical skills required.
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting information verbally and in writing, required.
  • Strong attention to detail, possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt and be flexible, required.

  • Must have the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, as business needs dictate.
