Develop, maintain, and enhance executive dashboards and portfolio scorecards that monitor US De Novo performance against approved business cases, capital investment objectives, strategic growth targets, and long-term profitability expectations. Provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership regarding portfolio optimization, investment prioritization, and future market expansion opportunities.
Analyzes, monitors and reports on the financial performance and condition of the business/function. Performs financial & business analysis in support of business solutions and business outcomes. Works across BMO to provide service and support the financial management activities of the business/portfolio and ensure financial information is reported completely and accurately. Partners closely with Channel Strategy, Retail Banking, Finance, Real Estate, and project teams to evaluate Financial Centre investment performance and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor the financial performance of US De Novo Financial Centre investments against approved business cases, forecasts, and strategic objectives.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on Financial Centre operating performance, balance growth, revenue trends, profitability metrics, and investment returns.
- Support annual planning, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting processes for the US De Novo portfolio.
- Perform variance analysis between Plan, Forecast, Actual results, and approved investment assumptions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly executive finance presentations for Channel Leadership, Physical Channel teams, and Finance stakeholders.
- Develop performance scorecards and dashboards to track De Novo Financial Centre performance against business case expectations.
- Consolidate and maintain monthly financial reporting packages highlighting portfolio performance, forecast updates, and strategic insights.
- Manage De Novo capital planning and investment tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project capital expenditures and ensure alignment with approved investment plans.
- Maintain and oversee the US De Novo portfolio tracking database, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate with Channel, Real Estate, Finance, and Project Management teams to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and automated processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and user guides for reporting processes and performance metrics.
- Leverage Power BI, Essbase, Excel, and other analytical tools to support advanced data analysis.

Qualifications
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Banking Finance, Retail Banking Analytics, Corporate Real Estate Finance, or Investment Performance Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- CPA, CFA, or progress toward a professional designation is considered an asset.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Essbase, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership.
Salary:
$57,500.00 - $106,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
