Full Job Description
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management, contributing to the achievement of our financial objectives.

Provide a full spectrum of complex financial analyses including non-routine financial and economic risk analyses. Develop, maintain, and explain financial analysis results and models. Apply critical thinking to rationalize and explain the analysis results. Develop new and better analytics approaches to solve questions in a creative way.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to tell stories with data, communicate effectively and instill confidence in recommendations to motivate stakeholder action.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement or risk.
  • Financial Modeling:
    • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
    • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential outcomes and risks.
  • Performance Reporting:
    • Prepare regular financial reports, variance analysis, and dashboards for management review.
    • Communicate financial results and key findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with various departments to identify risks and opportunities.
    • Partner with senior management to develop strategies for revenue growth, cost optimization, and risk management.
  • Financial Forecasting and Budgeting:
    • Assist in the development of accurate financial forecasts and budgets.
    • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide explanations for variances.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:
    • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as requested by management.
    • Support strategic initiatives, M&A activities, and other special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, along with four or more years of experience in financial analysis related role(s) is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Fluency with analyzing and interpreting financial statements
  • Proficiency with AI tools (including Claude and ChatGPT) to independently augment analysis workflows, accelerate research, and enhance the quality of financial deliverables.
  • Experience writing and running SQL queries against relational databases to extract, filter, and aggregate data for financial analysis; ability to build and iterate on multi-table queries with parameterized logic to support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with the self-motivation to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to manage communication with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to research issues and identify solutions to complex problems.

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $75,000 to $95,000.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager's discretion.
