Job Title: Financial AnalystJob DescriptionThis Financial Analyst role focuses on delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and planning to support informed leadership decision-making. The position plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close activities, while also driving improved visibility into performance across the organization. The role is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills, healthcare industry experience, and a passion for leveraging AI tools to enhance FP&A and accounting processes.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, forecasts, and budgeting materials that support leadership decision-making.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, provider productivity, service line performance, and other key operational and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support annual budgeting, mid-year forecasting, and long-range financial planning by developing, maintaining, and refining financial models.
- Assist with the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue analysis, payroll review, and general ledger oversight.
- Develop dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance analytics to enhance visibility into organizational and service line financial results.
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to provide clear financial insights and recommendations that help improve operational and financial performance.
- Serve as the finance team's AI and automation subject matter expert, identifying opportunities to streamline FP&A and accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Promote responsible adoption of AI tools within the finance function, including identifying use cases, supporting implementation, and helping colleagues understand and use AI-enabled solutions effectively.
Essential Skills- At least 5 years of Financial Analysis experience.
- Proven experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including variance analysis, revenue and expense analysis, and performance measurement.
- Experience working with a large ERP system; Sage Intacct experience is preferred.
- Healthcare industry experience with familiarity in analyzing provider productivity, service line performance, and healthcare-related financial metrics.
- Experience using AI tools in an Accounting and Finance context, particularly to enhance FP&A and reporting processes.
- Ability to develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Strong proficiency in creating dashboards, KPI reports, and performance analytics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operational and clinical leaders and communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and actionable way.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience serving as a subject matter expert for AI and automation within a finance or accounting team.
- Experience in a growing organization where processes and reporting structures evolve over time.
- Interest in continuous improvement and process optimization within FP&A and accounting functions.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a small finance team.
Work EnvironmentThe role is onsite for the first three months to support onboarding, collaboration, and integration with the finance and operational teams. After the initial three months, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule with one day onsite per week and the remaining time worked remotely. You will join a growing organization and work alongside one other Financial Analyst, as this position is an addition to the team. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Full Time 30 hours+ are eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401K and time off
