Job Description & Summary
As a Finance Transformation (Financial Services), Senior Manager, unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that'll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn't limited to:

Engagement Delivery

  • Lead complex, multi-workstream Finance Transformation engagements across the full lifecycle from diagnostic and design through implementation and stabilization
  • Serve as overall engagement lead, accountable for delivery quality, timelines, outcomes, and value realization
  • Design and lead finance diagnostics and maturity assessments across core finance domains, identifying pain points, value opportunities, and defining target operating models (processes, governance, RACI, data ownership, and enabling technology)
  • Lead Finance Operations optimization initiatives, including process standardization, cost reduction, automation, and performance improvement
  • Oversee the integration of enabling technologies (ERP, EPM, data, analytics, AI and automation) into finance operations to improve efficiency, insight, and control
  • Apply strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities to support business cases, scenario analysis, operating model assessments, and transformation value tracking
  • Manage engagement risk, financial performance, scope, assumptions, dependencies, and change management while ensuring adherence to PwC quality and risk management standards
  • Act as a senior escalation point for client stakeholders and delivery teams, driving timely decision-making and issue resolution
  • Ensure all deliverables are executive-ready, analytically robust, and aligned with client objectives and PwC standards


Client & Market Development

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior finance leaders, acting as a long-term advisor on Finance Transformation and Finance Operations strategies
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations on finance leading practices, including process standardization, governance, controls, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities
  • Own and grow the Finance Transformation opportunity pipeline by identifying, shaping, and leading priority pursuits in collaboration with Partners and account teams
  • Support proposal development, solution strategy, client positioning, and commercial structuring for Finance Transformation opportunities
  • Build strong relationships across the finance transformation ecosystem, including technology vendors and PwC's global network, to drive innovation and market growth


People & Practice Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop Finance Transformation professionals across functional, technical, and delivery dimensions
  • Lead staffing, performance management, and career development activities to build high-performing, inclusive teams
  • Lead the development and scaling of Finance operations capabilities, including AI-enabled finance, analytics, and emerging technologies
  • Support the creation of thought leadership, points of view, solution accelerators, and methodologies, sharing leading practices across PwC Canada and the global network

Experience & Capabilities

  • 8 -12 years of experience in a professional or financial services environment, including management consulting and/or Finance Transformation initiatives within Financial Services
  • Proven experience leading large scale Finance Transformation and Finance Operations programs across design, implementation, and value realization
  • Strong grounding across core finance domains and financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, including integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow models used for planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and executive decision support
  • Experience developing and reviewing driver based, scenario, and sensitivity models to support transformation business cases, cost reduction initiatives, and benefits realization
  • Experience with finance operating model design, governance, controls, and Finance Transformation leading practices in regulated environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, risks, dependencies, and executive stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex finance, analytical, and operational topics into clear, executive level messages
  • A client service orientation with a proven ability to build trusted, long term client relationships
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • A strong interest in digital enablement, analytics, and AI applied to Finance, with openness to learning and innovation

Qualifications

  • MBA and/or CPA designation is an asset
  • Financial Services industry or consulting experience is a strong plus

The salary range for this position is $144,700 - $241,200. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
