The Finance Supervisor is the finance business partner to the Hendersonville leadership team and is accountable for plant controlling, cost accounting, forecasting, inventory finance, business performance reporting and financial decision support. Operating in a hands-on environment, the role combines strategic finance leadership with direct ownership of key controlling and accounting activities and joins a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the controlling function for the Hendersonville plant, including timely and accurate month-end closing, forecasting, quoting support, working capital, inventory, standard costing and fixed asset management.
  • Ensure financial records and key balance sheet accounts are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, SOX requirements and BorgWarner guidelines
  • Provide early warning on business trends that affect plant performance, including P&L, balance sheet, inventory, operational and programme-related issues, while identifying probable causes and practical solutions.
  • Establish and maintain an adequate and effective internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting, including ownership of key reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and reports for corporate reporting and budget control; coordinate the annual budget and long-range planning (LRP) process in a participative and strategic fashion that stretches the plant to optimal achievement.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting for operations and plant leadership, including analysis of actual results, forecast performance, cost drivers, material variances, productivity, inventory and working capital.
  • Support OneStream and other corporate reporting requirements through actual and forecast data loads, analysis, reconciliations and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules and answer complex questions from internal and external auditors
  • Own and support cost accounting activities, including annual standard cost roll, standard cost set-up for new products, change request/change notice processing, production order analysis and general cost accounting questions.
  • Act as finance lead for capital investment appraisals, programme financial reviews and business case approvals.
  • Work cross-functionally with purchasing, quality, PC&L, operations and programme teams on supplier charge-backs, supplier cost reductions, material variances, bill of material/routing reviews and other plant financial matters.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships within the plant and across business unit and corporate global strength functions to drive operational financial performance.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators to track continuous improvements and actively identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve productivity and strengthen controls.
  • Operate effectively in a hands-on environment with no direct reports initially, while supporting future finance organisation development as plant volume and complexity increase.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For

Education /Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent discipline required; MBA preferred.
  • CPA or CMA a plus.
  • 6 plus years of experience with increasing responsibility in finance/accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience with SAP required; OneStream/HFM experience preferred.
  • Strong cost accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and transactionally in a hands-on plant finance environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to utilize digital, automation and AI-enabled tools preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
