Finance Manager - Operating Room at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Day Shift position.

The Mgr-Bus/Fin Services works closely with department managers/directors to develop, implement and evaluate business processes and operational initiative/projects to ensure an effective use of financial resources that are consistent within the Surgical Services Departments. Monitors capital allocations; conducts cost benefit analysis. Acts as a resource to provide information on financial reports and budget preparation. Implements and manages adherence to PHS and the Project Management Institute Project Management methodology, tools, policies and procedures. Maintains working knowledge of item files and reports in EPIC, managing item files updates for product conversions and standardizations, inactivating or adding items to electronic preference cards. Participates in committees reviewing current products w/ proposed changes from PH&S Corporate offices for potential cost savings initiatives and functionality. Collaborates with leadership to research and evaluate the opportunity for cost savings initiatives with supplies, instrumentation and equipment. Collaborates w/ surgical leadership team to review project proposals, prioritizes and management in the following areas: patient safety, SCIP measures, electronic documentation, and best practice. Acts as Tissue Facilitator for the Ministry (PSVC) and collaborates with Laboratory Services. Acts as the facilitator for vendor services, inclusive of vendor tracking system and instrument loaner tracking system. Facilitates annual inventory of surgical supplies and implants.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, or other related field or equivalent education/experience.
• 5 years' experience working in surgical services.
• 5 years Supervisory/management experience.
• 3 years Operational performance improvement and/or project management experience.
• 3 years Financial management experience, or graduate level finance course training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, or other related field.
• Experience in LEAN, Cap and Workout.
• Experience managing projects, conversions and portfolio.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
