Salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:As an important member of the Corporate Finance team, you will:
- Oversee the full cycle accounting and month-end close process for the Corporate head office, including preparation and review of corporate journal entries and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly consolidated flash reporting package for senior executives, including meaningful variance analysis and commentary for Corporate departments.
- Lead the quarterly forecasting process for Corporate departments, in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment by ensuring policy compliance and identifying and implementing control improvements.
- Oversee sales tax compliance for Corporate entities, including preparation and review of indirect tax filings, account reconciliations, and accruals, and coordination with internal and external tax specialists to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support ERP system administration related to the general ledger, including financial uploads, end-user support, and issue resolution.
- Lead and support cross-functional special projects and process improvement initiatives, including process redesign, standardization, automation, and system enhancements, to drive operational excellence, strengthen controls, and support organizational growth.
- Coordinate internal, external, and statutory audit activities and ensure timely completion of audit requests.
- Lead and develop 1 direct report, providing guidance on complex or non-routine accounting matters.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with increasing level of responsibilities in finance and accounting functions.
- Canadian CPA designation (CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA or equivalent) is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, and develop team members while effectively managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistently high standard of accuracy.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with minimal supervision in a hybrid work environment.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS; experience with Canadian or U.S. income tax is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) or other enterprise ERP systems is an asset.
