FH is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee FH US finance (USA, USF, and LLC), accounting operations, and financial activities to ensure the organization maintains a strong financial position. The role also supports high-level decision-making regarding FHUS's financial health. The position is responsible for developing strategies to assess, manage, and minimize financial risks, while contributing to the achievement of organizational goals. The Finance Manager serves as a key business partner to senior executive leadership, driving productivity improvements and risk reduction.

- Data Analytics & Financial Systems - Leverages financial systems, technology, and data analytics to improve reporting quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management - Communicates complex financial information clearly and builds productive relationships with leaders, teams, auditors, donors, and external partners.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time per year in the US and internationally, to insecure countries or locations.
What you'll do...As the Finance Manager, some of the responsibilities will be (not a complete description of responsibilities):- Lead and oversee all aspects of FH US financial management across USA, USF, and LLC entities, ensuring strong financial health, integrity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage and develop the finance function, including supervision of accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team, and ensuring effective workload planning and delivery.
- Prepare, review, and present accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to support executive decision-making and organizational performance.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and donor requirements, including US GAAP, USG grants, and other donor-specific financial guidelines and cost allowability standards.
- Responsible for the administration of FH US staff retirement plans (401K and 457B) and oversees 401K plan annual audit.
- Oversee financial audits and statutory reporting, including leading the annual audit process, 401(k) audit, and preparation of IRS Form 990 and other federal, state, and local filings.
- Strengthen and monitor internal controls and financial policies, safeguarding organizational assets and ensuring effective, compliant financial operations.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment accounts, ensuring liquidity, appropriate controls, and cost-effective financial services.
- Review and monitor expenditures and grant spending, ensuring alignment with donor intent, proper fund segregation, and compliance with restricted funding requirements.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with Grants and International Finance, ensuring accurate intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and timely fund transfers.
- Drive continuous improvement and financial transformation initiatives, including enhancing systems, processes, and financial technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, advising on financial risks, opportunities, and performance, and supporting organizational change management and decision-making.

A successful candidate will have the following: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Master's degree in business or finance preferred.
- CPA certification is highly desired.
- Preferred 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in an accounting function in a medium or large-size organization.
- Prior experience leading complex finance transformation initiatives.
- Non-profit experience is a plus.
