The Finance Manager, Finance PMO, is responsible for driving the successful execution of Finance's strategic priorities, transformation initiatives, and cross-functional projects. The role serves as a central point of coordination across Finance and the broader business, ensuring priorities are clearly defined, initiatives are appropriately resourced, milestones are achieved, and outcomes are delivered.
This role acts as a strategic partner to Finance leadership, providing structure, governance, and transparency across the Finance portfolio. The Finance PMO will establish consistent project management disciplines, facilitate decision-making, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure Finance initiatives remain aligned with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Finance Portfolio & PMO Leadership
- Establish and manage the Finance PMO framework, including governance, prioritization, project planning, reporting, and escalation processes.
- Maintain a consolidated view of Finance initiatives, priorities, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and expected benefits.
- Partner with Finance leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and execution plans.
- Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting to provide clear visibility into progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
- Facilitate regular portfolio reviews with Finance leadership and key business stakeholders.
- Ensure projects have clear objectives, accountable owners, milestones, deliverables, and success measures.
- Identify competing priorities and resource constraints and support leadership in making trade-off decisions.
Finance Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead or coordinate Finance transformation initiatives focused on improving processes, systems, data, controls, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve Finance processes.
- Support Finance teams in developing business cases, benefits assessments, implementation plans, and change-management strategies.
- Track realization of financial and operational benefits from transformation initiatives.
- Promote a continuous-improvement mindset across Finance.
Cross-Functional Business Partnership
- Act as a key Finance interface for major enterprise initiatives involving Finance, Operations, IT, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions.
- Ensure Finance requirements are clearly defined and incorporated into broader business projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and maintain momentum.
- Provide constructive challenge to ensure initiatives are supported by sound financial analysis and aligned with business priorities.
Financial Management & Analysis
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support prioritization, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop financial models, business cases, forecasts, and scenario analyses as required.
- Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, costs, benefits, and ROI.
- Support Finance leadership with ad hoc analysis and decision support on strategic priorities.
Governance, Risk & Controls
- Establish appropriate governance and decision-making structures for Finance initiatives.
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and potential impacts to Finance or the business.
- Ensure appropriate escalation and resolution of critical issues.
- Support Finance leadership in maintaining strong financial controls and governance throughout transformation initiatives.
Change Management & Communication
- Develop clear communication plans for Finance initiatives and ensure stakeholders understand objectives, impacts, timelines, and required actions.
- Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and working sessions with senior stakeholders.
- Support adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Communicate complex financial and project information in a concise, executive-friendly manner.

Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent designation is an asset.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Finance Transformation, Finance Operations, or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives or transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and business performance.
- Experience working with senior Finance and business leaders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; formal PM certification is an asset.
- Experience with ERP, financial planning, BI, data, or Finance technology initiatives is an asset.
