Full Job Description
Eaton's Aerospace group, Fluid and Electrical Distribution business is seeking a Finance Manager in the Jackson, MI location from within the US. Relocation assistance is available to Jackson. Minimal travel is expected (~10%).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.

Our Jackson, MI site has ~850 people across three shifts and has been designated as a high growth business within the group. The site is part of our Conveyance business unit and supports both military and commercial business.

What you'll do:

The Finance Manager reports to the Plant Finance Leader and will lead plant finance activities, manage a small team, provide strategic business partnership to operations leadership, and drive financial performance across the Jackson Aerospace facility. This role is responsible for financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, internal controls, forecasting, reporting, capital investments, and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Prepare Profit Plan and Business Review presentations for senior management team
• Lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, profit planning, and business reviews.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve standard cost accounting, inventory valuation, and fixed asset processes.
• Manage capital expenditure requests, payback analyses, and fixed asset controls.
• Ensure compliance with Eaton accounting policies, SOX requirements, and internal controls.
• Provide financial support for government contracts, including FAR and TINA compliance.
• Partner with operations leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve plant profitability.
• Develop financial models, reporting tools, and process improvements that enhance decision-making.
• Lead finance process standardization and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.
• Provide Financial support to ensure compliance with Government accounting, FAR and TINA Requirements for government contracts

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing or similar operations environment.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting/finance
• Experience managing people a plus
• Knowledge of CASS (government cost accounting standards)
• In depth understanding of Information Systems (Encore, DFT, Oracle Financials, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Experience within a manufacturing plant/cost accounting helpful

Skills:
• Specific knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Understanding of Manufacturing Operations and Processes and the related business systems that record these operations and processes.
• Strong analytical skills and absolute attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team, Division and Corporate teams.
• Experience with cost accounting for a manufacturer
