Position Summary
The D2C Finance Manager is the financial leader for the Direct-to-Consumer business, owning full P&L accountability across retail and eCommerce channels. Acting as a strategic business partner to commercial and operations leadership, this role combines rigorous financial analysis with executive-level communication to drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Own full P&L accountability for the D2C business - retail and eCommerce - including deep analysis of revenue and cost drivers (COGS, cost to serve, marketing, SG&A), and clear identification of risks, opportunities, and actionable profitability recommendations
Lead pricing and margin improvement strategies, including final-mile and logistics cost reduction and SG&A efficiency initiatives
Drive the financial planning calendar: annual budget, monthly rolling forecast, and a weekly snapshot of current-month performance versus forecast with insights and corrective actions
Build and maintain management reporting on volume, price, and mix, including sales promotion analysis and Price Waterfall visibility to support top-line excellence
Manage monthly accruals and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely administrative expense recognition
Prepare executive-level P&L commentary for actuals and forecast - summarizing major performance drivers and recommending actions for deviations to plan
Support senior leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis, reports, and presentation materials
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven track record of P&L ownership and management, ideally in a commercial finance or FP&A role within a consumer business
Strong analytical capability able to distil revenue, gross margin, expense, and capital data into clear trends, risks, and strategic opportunities
Experience in D2C, retail, or eCommerce environments; familiarity with digital marketing economics and logistics cost structures is a plus
Executive presence and communication skills comfortably present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive accountability across teams at all levels
High proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools; comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
