As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-impact and actionable market intelligence insights and engaged financial analysis that drive executive decision-making and shape the direction of Google Cloud. You will be involved in generating the data we release externally, and enabling meaningful claims that thoughtfully tell the Cloud story through data.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$248,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor industry trends and financial developments to identify opportunities and threats. Synthesize data from securities and exchange commission (SEC) filings, analyst reports, and industry experts to validate market insights across business models and go-to-market strategies.
  • Establish automated reporting mechanisms to deliver market insights to leadership, streamlining communication and driving continuous process improvement.
  • Develop performer benchmarks to optimize quarterly earnings insights and long-term resource allocation. Lead end-to-end research studies aligned with key organizational growth goals.
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Operations teams to define addressable markets and analyze market share to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Lead the Cloud metrics council to standardize the governance and external disclosure of key metrics (e.g., Earnings, Google Next). Partner across teams to craft data-backed narratives and provide rapid, ad-hoc analysis for executive leadership.
