Job Summary

As a Finance Manager, you will support a large global client account spanning multiple business lines. This highly visible individual-contributor role combines global financial consolidation, monthly close, billing and purchase-order controls, contract analysis, planning, and executive reporting. Offering both corporate and client-facing exposure, this position is ideal for an independent financial professional who can turn complex data into clear insights and drive work across teams.

Level Flexibility: Candidates with broader experience, strong judgment, and demonstrated independent ownership may be considered based on their overall qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead global consolidation: Gather, validate, reconcile, and consolidate financial results across business lines and global partners, ensuring alignment of calendars, account mappings, definitions, and cutoffs.
• Own the overhead close: Manage journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, supporting schedules, variance explanations, and resolution of posting issues.
• Tell the financial story: Analyze large and sometimes incomplete datasets and develop concise reporting that highlights performance, key drivers, risks, opportunities, decisions, and action items for Directors and VPs.
• Interpret commercial terms: Review contracts, work orders, amendments, and pricing exhibits; model financial impacts, support negotiations, and translate terms into billing rules, accounting treatment, and controls.
• Support planning and performance: Prepare budgets, forecasts, models, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses covering revenue, labor, operating costs, overhead, margin, billing, and receivables.
• Drive cross-functional execution: Manage project plans, deadlines, and action items; influence without authority, partner effectively with senior leaders, and escalate decisions when needed.
• Partner with the client: Prepare financial recaps and business-review materials, respond to billing, audit, contract, and reporting questions, and ensure activity aligns with executed agreements.
• Navigate Compass systems: Utilize finance, reporting, procurement, and billing systems while coordinating access, troubleshooting, and process documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, operational finance, accounting, controllership, or audit. More experienced candidates should demonstrate broader independent ownership and judgment.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong documentation, controls, and follow-through.
• Self-driven and process-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs, identify next steps, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Strong financial communicator who can translate complex information into clear, actionable business insights for finance, operations, clients, Directors, and VPs.
• Strong accounting, financial modeling, contract analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with enterprise finance, reporting, planning, procurement, billing, and data-visualization tools. Compass systems knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, global, cross-functional environment with urgency, discretion, integrity, curiosity, and sound judgment.
• CPA, MBA, public accounting, or multi-site service experience is a plus.
