The Role The Finance and Global Controls Manager oversees all accounting for the India, Vietnam, and Australia entities, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards, and internal policies. Beyond regional close ownership, this role also carries firm-wide responsibility for the global internal controls framework, intercompany processes, allocations, reconciliations, and audit coordination, making it a key contributor to the integrity of the firm's consolidated financial results.
As the leader of a geographically distributed team spanning the US, UK, and Asia, this position requires strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to manage across time zones. Reporting to the Regional Controller of Pac Rim and Global Corporate Services, the role also collaborates closely with regional finance teams to drive consistency and alignment across the global organization.
What you'll do - Own all accounting and overall close completeness for the India, Vietnam and Australia regions.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial statements, reviewing key outputs and driving timely resolution of issues
- Oversee global intercompany processes, including foreign currency (FX) transactions, intercompany reconciliations, cash applications, and adjustment calculations
- Manage global allocations, accrual calculations and lease accounting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all entities
- Maintain and strengthen the global internal controls framework - identifying control gaps, maintaining a consolidated dashboard of findings across all entities, and driving remediation plans to resolution
- Supervise the global reconciliation process, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and on a timely basis
- Lead financial audit coordination across external and internal audit engagements
- Collaborate closely with regional finance teams in the US, UK, and Asia to align accounting practices, policies, and close processes across the global organization
- Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team across the US, UK and Asia, fostering effective collaboration, accountability, and performance across time zones and cultures
- Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reporting quality across a global close environment
- Apply technical accounting expertise to evaluate complex transactions, interpret accounting policies, and address evolving business issues
What you'll bring - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with broad exposure to general ledger, close processes, and financial reporting
- Experience leading and developing geographically distributed teams
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls frameworks; SOX or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with international accounting operations, including multi-entity close processes
- Proven experience coordinating external and internal audit engagements
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight close deadlines
- Solid technical accounting foundation, with the ability to evaluate complex transactions and apply accounting policies with sound judgment
- Strategic and solutions-oriented, with a track record of driving process improvements and sound decision-making in complex, multi-entity environments.
- Strong communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to engage effectively with auditors and senior stakeholders across geographies
CompensationThe rate for this position generally is $1,000 - $800,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
