Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our company as Business Finance Director. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of this business, providing leadership and guidance in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

  1. Financial Strategy:


  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.


  • Provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team based on financial analysis and projections.


  • Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to assess potential impact on the business financial performance.


  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:


  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plans.


  • Perform financial forecasting, including revenue, expense, and cash flow projections.


  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.


  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the leadership team.


  1. Risk Management:


  • Identify and evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.


  • Monitor and analyze financial metrics to assess overall business performance.


  • Recommend and implement risk management strategies.


  1. Team Leadership:


  • Lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

Knowledge needed:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field


  • Minimum 7 years' varied accounting/finance experience


  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team


  • Prior manufacturing experience is required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemical manufacturing experience a plus.


  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is highly desirable.


Position Criteria:
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.


  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.


  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.


  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.


  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.


The base salary for this role is $168,500 to $252,700 annually.

We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. Hired applicants will be eligible for paid holidays, paid time off including vacation, eligibility to purchase company stock, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with a competitive company match. Certain roles may be eligible for discretionary financial benefits such as incentive pay, equity awards, and participation in a deferred compensation plan.
