Full Job Description
Job Overview:

The Controller is responsible for all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Payroll and Cash Management for KCR and KCD.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive timely, accurate and complete submission of all financial data including annual budgeting of income statement and balance sheet, quarterly forecasting and monthly actual financials; understanding and explaining variances in actual performance to budgets and forecast to all levels of Management as well as advising on actions to achieve improved results.
  • Work with Plant Management teams to monitor and control expenses, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Track, validate and report cost savings and value creation projects to drive continuous cost improvements.
  • Business partner with Plant Operations teams to ensure transparency with key business managers in a continuously changing business environment.
  • Work closely with Operations on product costing valuations ensuring they have the necessary information to make the appropriate decision to ensure successful growth.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling Working Capital as well as identifying and implementing initiatives for improvement.
  • Maintain a control environment which functions with no surprises. Ensure timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations.
  • Manage all Financial and Sox audits performed by internal and external auditors as well as Government Agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company, Accounting and Government Standards, Policies and Regulations.
  • Responsible for various Tax reporting.
  • Manage professionals engaged in Financial/Accounting activities at the New Jersey and Dominican Republic locations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Five to eight years' experience in a senior accounting or financial analyst capacity and must have a demonstrated history of performing the responsibilities listed below.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials. Must be a US citizen, legal permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


Preferred:
  • A strong background in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment with two years of experience as a Plant Controller.
  • CPA, CMA and/or MBA as well as Oracle experience.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • The Finance Manager / Controller manages a small local finance staff.
