Responsibilities

  • Manage quarterly US GAAP Basis Reporting and annual audit
  • Prepare annual Tax Basis Book with tax implications for investments
  • Handle cash flow management, including capital calls
  • Analyze portfolio company financials for partner meetings
  • Prepare quarterly portfolio company valuations and presentations
  • Respond to inquiries from limited partners
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations on presentation materials
  • Document investment transactions and assist with deal closings
  • Ensure compliance with partnership agreements
  • Support quarterly GAAP reporting with management fee and expense allocation workbook
  • Work on enhancing processes including implementing AI into workflows

POSITION DESCRIPTION

TheFinanceAssociatewillpartnerwiththeseniorFinanceprofessionalsinmanagingkeytasks including,butnotlimitedto,thefollowing:

  • QuarterlyUSGAAPBasisReporting;annualUSGAAPBasisaudit

  • AnnualTaxBasisBookPreparation;workingwithinternaltaxdepartmentandexternaladvisers regardingtaximplicationofcomplexinvestmenttransactions

  • Cashflowmanagement,capitalcallsandcashandstockdistributions

  • Reviewandanalyzeportfoliocompanyfinancialsinpreparationforquarterlypartnerportfolio reviewmeetings

  • Workwithpartnerstopreparequarterlyportfoliocompanyvaluations&preparesummarized dataforpartnerpresentations

  • Respondtorequestsandinquiriesoflimitedpartnersandtheirrepresentativesviatelephoneand email

  • WorkwithInvestorRelationsinpreparationofpresentationmaterials,informationpostedto investorwebsite,fundraisingdocuments

  • Understandanddocumentinvestmenttransactions;workingwithdealstaffandoutsideadvisors ondealclosingsandharvesttransactions

  • Analyzevariousfundactivitiestoensurecompliancewithpartnershipagreements

  • PreparemanagementfeeandexpenseallocationworkbookssupportingquarterlyGAAP reportingacrossmultipleventurefundcomplexes

  • WorkwiththeCFO/VPFinance/FinanceManagersonprojectstoenhancetheproductofthe team,departmentandfirm,particularlyfocusedontheimplementationofartificialintelligence intoourdaytodayworkflows

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years in Public Accounting or related experience in an in-house accounting & finance role; demonstrated professional and academic achievement

  • Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with the highest attention to detail.

  • Creative problem-solving ability and sound judgment

  • Strong team player with entrepreneurial predisposition and strong interpersonal skills

  • Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Investran and Workiva a plus

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college/university with a strong academic background (minimum 3.5 GPA)

Compensation:

Expected Annual Base Salary $80,000 6 85,000
