  • Oversee balance sheet account ownership and E-recon functions.
  • Identify operational risks and enhance controls through partnership with the risk teams.
  • Drive transformation projects, focusing on AI opportunities and process standardization.

Full Job Description
This position supports the Corporate Functions Controller with various accounting processes across businesses. Responsibilities include: Legal Entity Management, Month End Close (MEC) process and

accounting adjustments, Balance Sheet review and reconciliation oversight, Accounting and Regulatory Reporting for equity investments, and organization and management of risk and controls for team

processes.

Responsibilities of this role:
  • Equity Investment Accounting and Reporting:
  • Equity investments include Citi Ventures and other portfolios where this position will lead and direct controls and accuracies over the Investment Portfolio, reporting requirements and well as compliance with Citi Legal Entity Management Policy.
  • Legal entity management including input and update in Citi systems (Citi Legal Entity Management System (CLEMS), Citi Legal Entity Management System Equity Investments (CLEMS EI), Citi Investment Platform).
  • Lead various internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness across systems and in relation to
  • reporting requirements.
  • Monthly and/or quarterly financial statement and balance sheet reviews.
  • Balance sheet account ownership and oversight of E-recon functions.

Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Other controllership responsibilities within CFC, such as responding to

accounting questions and inquiries, any required policy changes,

identifying opportunities and leading transformation projects (particularly

AI based opportunities), driving process and control standardization, and

the development of improved monitoring controls.

  • Partnership with Risk and control teams to identify significant operational

risks, assess the overall effectiveness of key controls that mitigate

significant operational risks and detect and address specific weaknesses

in the design and/or execution of key operational controls.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree required. CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance and accounting experience in a Global Organization.
  • Key competencies will include a mix of excellent analytical and problem solving skills, able
  • to make accurate accounting and business judgment, and attention to quality and detail.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter who is able to work independently and be flexible enough
  • to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential with experience presenting in
  • front of management.
  • Relationship skills and experience partnering with multiple businesses as well as the ability
  • to influence and team with colleagues at all levels are key.
  • Proficiency PC skills including Excel, Word & PowerPoint required. Ability to handle large
  • data sets and work with new systems.
