Position SummaryThe Law Enforcement Field Training Specialist will join the Field Forensics Team as a full-time training instructor supporting customers with the MX908, with a focus on law enforcement agencies and personnel operating in high-stakes detection and interdiction environments. Duties include delivering operational instruction and field applications-based content to new customers to prepare them to use 908 Devices HPMS and optical products in a variety of operational environments. Following a manufacturer-certified curriculum, the Law Enforcement Field Training Specialist uses operational knowledge and experience to create a learning environment for customers to understand, apply, and succeed in using HPMS and optical products for a variety of missions.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver training (online/remote and in-person, end-user and instructor-level)
- Develop training content (instructional design, curriculum development)
- Support pre-sales activities (demonstrations, customer orientation for trials and evaluations)
- Interface with law enforcement customers on applications, use cases, and operational needs
- Prepare operations plans and file field reports for training projects
- Coordinate with the broader Customer Experience and Field Forensics teams on customer feedback and product performance
Skills & Qualifications- Demonstrated experience using hand-held field detection and analysis technologies in a field related to law enforcement, military operations, or public health
- Track record of successful ability to deliver technical training and development to non-technical and operational personnel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to deliver training remotely, online when not traveling and work from a home office to engage customers, and the broader Customer Experience and Field Forensics teams via web-conference technology
- Experience managing and executing a training program for an organization preferred
- Prior experience working with or supporting law enforcement agencies (e.g., DEA, CBP, ATF, FBI, HSI) strongly preferred
- Ability to complete basic device maintenance and troubleshooting techniques to repair units while in the field
- Ability for domestic and international travel, up to 60%, to support the above
Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in Law Enforcement, preferably in narcotics or corrections
- Professional instructor certification preferred
- Relevant certifications, or federal agency instructor credentials preferred
Additional Information- Location: This is a remote position based within the US and in close proximity to an international airport (preferred)
- Travel: This position requires extensive travel, domestic and international, up to 60%
- Compensation: The annualized base pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $120,000 per year/per hour; the base pay offered may vary depending on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible to receive additional compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives.
