Position Description: CGI Federal is seeking a Jr. Software Trainer to join our dynamic team to provide software training and support for a wide range of employees at a federal agency in Alexandria, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for varying aspects of instructional curriculum development in a fast paced and innovative environment. Trainers are expected to provide classroom and remote training as well as phone, chat room or desk side assistance for federal staff. In addition, Trainers may also help create computer based training modules. Experienced teachers/trainers are welcome to apply. Good communication skills, customer service skills, and teamwork skills are a must.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Alexandria,VA;
however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Successfully complete internal training and stay current on all new automation tools
Teach in person and remote classes as scheduled, meeting requirements of the contract Quality Assurance Plan
Provide on call user support on proper use of all automation tools
Carry out scheduled duties to cover Hotline, Chat Room and other support services
Create quality instructional materials and perform well on other supplemental projects, as requested
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
BA or BS degree from an accredited undergraduate program
2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an adult learning environment
Customer service and customer satisfaction focus
Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and basic computer skills and aptitude
Good communication and presentation skills
Must be able to work as scheduled. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM, but occasionally classes or duties may start as early as 7 AM or finish as late as 8 PM
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Experience with developing training materials
Experience with online learning, remote access, and collaboration tools
Experience with technical writing/editing
Experience with developing computer based training or e learning modules
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 $136,200.00.
