Position Summary

WSG is seeking experienced Field Supervisors to lead pressure testing and commissioning support crews on the Woodfibre LNG Project.

The Field Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of daily field operations, including crew leadership, toolbox talks, worksite preparation, boundary establishment, pressurization activities, test execution, depressurization, system reinstatement, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to testing and field execution crews.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-job safety meetings.
  • Verify work scopes, procedures, permits, and required documentation prior to commencing work.
  • Establish and maintain testing boundaries and exclusion zones.
  • Coordinate equipment, personnel, materials, and resources required for testing activities.
  • Direct pressurization operations in accordance with approved test procedures.
  • Supervise hydrostatic, pneumatic, leak, functional, and specialty testing activities.
  • Monitor testing activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and engineering procedures.
  • Lead depressurization activities following successful test completion.
  • Coordinate system reinstatement activities and return equipment to operational status.
  • Ensure all test records, inspection reports, and daily field documentation are completed accurately and submitted on schedule.
  • Verify workforce compliance with site safety rules, permit requirements, and isolation procedures.
  • Escalate technical, safety, quality, or operational concerns to project leadership and technical authorities.
  • Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, quality, client representatives, and construction teams to support successful project execution.
  • Participate in daily planning and schedule coordination meetings.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and intervene when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of industrial construction, commissioning, maintenance, or pressure testing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading field crews on major industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of pressure testing operations and temporary testing systems.
  • Experience supervising hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.
  • Thorough knowledge of permits, isolations, lockout/tagout, and high-risk work processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, test packages, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to work rotational schedules.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous LNG project experience.
  • Experience supporting commissioning and mechanical completion programs.
  • Fall Protection, Confined Space, H2S Alive, CSTS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience working within EPC project environments.
  • Knowledge of BC safety regulations and industrial testing standards.
  • Background in piping, mechanical, commissioning, or operations disciplines.
