About this position: Field Superintendent Location - Anchorage, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards.
  • Direct and supervise daily construction activities on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor quality control and workmanship throughout all phases of construction.
  • Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and coordinate correctie actions as needed.
  • Lead project meetings, toolbox talks, and progress updates.
  • Manage subcontractor's performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and equipment utilization.
  • Track project progress and communicate schedule impacts, risks, and issues to management.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documents.
  • Interface with owners, clients, engineers, inspectors, and government representatives.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee field personnel.
  • Handle employee personal information
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on an as needed basis
  • Work directly with Project Management and assist with project coordinating
  • Execute Purchase Orders
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
  • Complete credit card statements
  • Assist with transferring personnel from project to project
  • Schedule housing and travel for project to project
  • Code and approve invoices
  • Manage project billing

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: Level of Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction management education preferred

  • Minimum 10-12 years of construction industry experience.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of superintendent or field supervision experience.
  • Experience leading commercial, civil, industrial, or federal construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety requirements, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Additionally, they may be asked to travel to jobsite via light-duty vehicle, small aircraft, or marine vessel.

Additional Qualifying Factors
