Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in the subcontract administration process which starts with the award of a new subcontract to a third party. Subcontract administration includes continual supervision and progress review, forecasting, and identification and escalation of obstacles to avoid delays. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project's agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks to various team members and the performance of Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management
  • Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties
  • Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters
  • Interprets and communicates mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions
  • Prepares periodic status reports for management
  • Monitors subcontractor performance with ALL provisions in the subcontract during construction execution
  • Evaluates and negotiates all requests for additional compensation/schedule extensions.
  • After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules
  • Leads communications with subcontractor on items both technical and commercial (RFIs, SCNs, Correspondence, emails, Progress Meetings, deliverables, deviations, Change Management, Closeout).


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial administration of construction related contracts is an essential requirement.
  • Proficiency in phases of the formation and administration of contracts and various types of contract agreements is desirable.
  • High proficiency in working with and communicating effectively both orally and in writing with other project functional groups, including Project Management and other Service organization Leaders.
  • Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and practices.
